Dilemmas are low dimensional, solutions are high dimensional2022-02-19
But the creative principle resides in mathematics. In a certain sense, therefore, I hold it true that pure thought can grasp reality, as the ancients dreamed.
Behaviors have to be understood and improved in context. When we look at just one domain (Life, Body, Mind, Environment, Culture, or Addictions), and/or one dimension of a domain, we are puzzled by somebody’s behavior and there can be logjams in terms of improving it. When we look at a person in context, in a multi-domain, multidimensional way, explanations for behaviors and ways of improving them materialize.
That is what we have done with our Life x Mind app, with our Convergent Functional Information for Suicidality scale, now available as a digital product, SX Prevent by MindX Sciences, and with our panels of blood biomarkers. They are all multi-domain, multi-dimensional, and even more so when used together.
When somebody’s phenome and genome are assessed in a comprehensive and quantitative fashion, diagnostic dilemmas and artificial delineations as encompassed in DSM are removed, and personalized treatment approaches reveal themselves.
