I don’t think we should try to have people live for a really long time. That would cause asphyxiation of society because the truth is, most people don’t change their minds. They just die. If they don’t die, we will be stuck with old ideas and society wouldn’t advance.
Consciousness of life success is life satisfaction, which consists of the existential triad of happiness, hope and meaning. At a biological level, life success and life satisfaction may influence an active “life switch”, that is involved in the placebo response and kept on in the direction of active longevity and repair when things are good, and turned off in the direction of active aging, and even suicide, when things are bad.
We have recently implemented and released an Active Longevity score in our Life x Mind app, based on measuring and tracking your life success, life satisfaction, suicidality risk and suicidality ideation. It is a useful metric to keep an eye on and be proactive about increasing. At a biological level, there is a set of biomarkers related to that which can also be tested for, using the MindX Sciences Blood Test for Longevity. Nutraceuticals and pharmaceuticals that target those biomarkers can be identified using that testing.
In general, with aging, deterioration, shrinking and inhibitions accumulate, at a mental and physical level. Preventing and reversing them is key to staying youthful as long as possible. Otherwise, over time you can become a burden and even a brake for those around you. With active longevity, you can continue to be a contributor and even become a fountain of wisdom for those around you.
